Spring Contemporary

10 April - 11 May 2012

Alon Zakaim Fine Art is pleased to present Spring Contemporary, featuring a selection of unseen pieces by established contemporary artists such as Marc Quinn and David Breuer-Weil alongside exciting work by young emerging artists.

Quinn's vast, dramatic photorealist painting features alongside playful narrative scenes by Kate Brinkworth and Sung Jin Kim, showcasing different and yet equally absorbing approaches to contemporary photorealism. Following a successful solo exhibition on Cork Street, photographer Lorenzo Agius returns to Alon Zakaim Fine Art with a selection of witty scenes playfully capturing new and playful sides to celebrities whose images have become cemented within popular culture. Alongside this the iconic depictions of the legendary Muhammed Ali by photographer Chris Smith bring previously unseen glimpses of the legendary sportsman's life and career to light.

Meanwhile, the acclaimed painter and sculptor David Breuer-Weil will unveil two new paintings which continue to broaden his examination of mortality and ancestry, while Will Thorburn's intricate anatomical paintings combine the language of the body with psychedelic tones and the inherited configurations of Arabic art.
