Georges Terzian

20 April - 21 May 2010

Alon Zakaim Fine Art is pleased to present a collection of oil and gouache paintings by Georges Terzian who has lived and worked in Paris since the 1960s.

Highlighting a selection of work produced during his most prolific period, between 1965 and 1990, the exhibition explores the artist's modern take on cubism expressed through his breathtakingly vibrant abstract still lifes. Georges Terzian's spirited personality runs firmly throughout the collection. Each canvas combines a vivid palette with light hearted subject matter, and collectively they tell a story of an artist taking great joy in his work.

Having exhibited in a number of solo shows in Paris, Georges Terzian's paintings have been acquired by many public and private collectors in France and further afield. His recent solo exhibition at Galerie Giovanni, Paris in 2007 drew wider international attention towards the artist and he has since developed a strong presence on the secondary market in London, Paris and New York.

For over half a century Georges Terzian has painted with modesty and for many years in solitude. Alon Zakaim Fine Art is honoured to present such a large collection of this artist's outstanding work to the public for the first time.
