Fractures: The Legacy of Modern Art

9 November - 23 December 2011

Alon Zakaim Fine Art is pleased to announce the opening of Fractures: The Legacy of Modern Art, a group exhibition exploring the enduring influence of Modernist painting over the last ninety years. Beginning with works by key proponents including Jean Souverbie, Henri Hayden and Auguste Herbin, the show charts the development of Cubism from its beginnings at the start of the last century, through the technical advances made by Tamara de Lempicka and through to the redefining of the style by the next generation of artists, including Claude Venard, Georges Terzian and Robert Marc. Alongside these works, influential artists such as Andre Lanskoy and Béla Kádár reveal the wealth of new directions artists were taking during this period.

Fractures will run at Alon Zakaim Fine Art from 9th November - 23rd December 2011. Gallery opening hours are 9am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, or by appointment only.
